We believe that shopping online should be straightforward and hassle-free, which is why we've put together a handy delivery guide to take you through our delivery options.

UK Standard Delivery

  • Free for orders over £45
  • Orders below £45 will incur a £3.99 delivery charge
  • Delivered within 3-5 working days
  • Delivered Mon-Fri (excluding weekend and bank holidays)

UK Next Working Day Delivery

  • Free for orders over £100
  • £1 for orders over £50
  • £4.99 for orders below £30(an upgrade of just £1 on standard delivery)
  • Mon-Thur orders placed before 1pm will be delivered the next working day
  • Friday orders placed before 1pm will be delivered on Monday
  • Weekend orders will be delivered on Tuesday
  • Delivered Mon-Fri (excluding weekend and bank holidays)
  • Once approved P-line items will be delivered the next working day

Delivery Terms & Conditions

  • All deliveries are subject to Chemist Direct successfully receiving payment
  • Delivery options exclude bank holidays and other public holidays
  • We will endeavour to deliver your order in accordance with the delivery option you selected, however delivery timescales are indicative only
  • Orders may be delivered in one or more packages
  • We are unable to deliver to PO Box addresses
  • We strive to ensure our delivery targets are met but sadly when they're not we're unable to accept liability for any out of pocket expenses incurred for failed or delayed orders. You're still entitled to your full statutory rights
  • Sadly, our Next Day delivery services are only available in the UK and exclude the following postcodes: AB, B78, BN1, BT, CA6, CA8, CB4, CV8, CV35, DD, DG, EH36, EH41, EH42, FK17-21, G12, G833, G84, GL6, GL7, GY1-10, HS, IM1-9, IM99, IP11, IV, JE1-4, KA6, KA27, KA28, KW, LN5-6, ME8-10, NE66-71, OX18, PA, PH, RH6, RH10, RH11, TD, TR, WF1-4. YO26, and ZE
  • For orders over 25kg, there's an additional charge of £3.49 per 25kg. You'll be notified at the checkout
  • Depending on the location, contents and weight of your order, we may use a combination of couriers to deliver your order safely, e.g. it's required that aerosols are delivered via a road-based courier. This is a requirement of the January 2013 Dangerous Goods Act, introduced by the Civil Aviation Authority. You will not be charged additional delivery fees if this occurs
  • We will deliver your order in accordance with the delivery option selected by you during the order process. Any delivery timescales quoted to you are indicative only. Orders may be delivered in one or more packages
  • We make every effort to deliver your order within the estimated dispatch timescales; however, delays are occasionally inevitable due to unforeseen factors. We are under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver products within estimated timescales caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. However, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations, all orders will be fulfilled within a maximum of 30 days or a full refund will be issued

Pharmacy (P-line) Orders

  • All P-line items require our Pharmacy team's approval before we can deliver it to you
  • When ordering, if you completed a health questionnaire, your order contained a P-line item
  • Our Pharmacy team may need to ask you additional questions, recommend an alternative treatment or cancel your request on medical grounds
  • Depending on the outcome of approval, dispensing your order may be delayed, however, you will be kept informed throughout this process

Tracking the Status of your Order

If you created an account when you checked out, you can check the status of your order by logging in to your ChemistDirect account

Once logged in, you can click 'View my Orders'. Your order will be given one of the following notes:

  • Order received: Confirming that your order has been successfully received by and will shortly be ready for processing
  • Order suspended: Your order is still being processed but our team will need to review it before we can confirm dispatch
  • Order being processed: Your order is now being processed and will be dispatched shortly
  • Order cancelled: Sadly we cannot progress your order due to an outstanding issue. You will be sent an email notification regarding the cancellation, advising on next steps. You can speak to our Customer Care team on 0121 541 1800 or by sending a note to on our contact page
  • Order dispatched / Track Parcel: Your order has now been dispatched and is on its way to you
  • Order part-dispatched: to avoid having to wait longer we have part-dispatched your order and will email you with the expected dispatch date for the remaining items. Please note, we will only part-dispatch when both parts of the order total £12 or more


Premier Delivery Pass

Terms & conditions

Premier Delivery Pass is available to UK addresses only. It gives subscribers unlimited standard delivery options for a whole year.

    Subscribing to and using Premier Delivery Pass

  • You must be logged in to your account to use it.
  • Premier Delivery Pass is valid for 12 months from the day you sign up (or, if renewing, from the day your subscription renewal begins).
  • Your use of Premier Delivery Pass is subject to these terms and conditions.
  • Your subscription is locked to the UK. You canít use Premier Delivery Pass in another country with this subscription.
  • Premier Delivery Pass is for your personal use only. Order as many times as you like, but it's subject to our fair use policy to avoid making excessive use of, or placing unusual burdens on, the service (e.g., ordering and/or returning items beyond what would reasonably be expected of someone using the service for personal use).


    A full refund of your membership fee will be given if you have not made any eligible purchases using Premier Delivery Pass. Once an eligible purchase has been made your membership cannot be cancelled.


    Same Day Delivery Trial

    We are offering Same Day Delivery on selected products to selected postcodes within the Yorkshire area. Qualifying postcodes are listed below. In addition to region and product restrictions, please take note of the following terms:

    • Postcodes included within the trial begin with: LS, YO, HD, HG, HX, BD, WF
    • Orders need to be placed before 10am (Monday to Friday) to qualify for same day delivery. If the order is placed after this time, we will aim to deliver the following day. In this event, there is no delivery cost refund of the difference between services.
    • Bank Holidays are excluded. Orders placed on these days will be fulfilled using the next available delivery service.
    • If further follow-up is required by our Pharmacist on any P-line medication order, this will impact on our ability to fulfil your order the same day. Please provide as much detail as possible when completing the questionnaire to avoid possible disappointment. Terms for dispensing P-line medication also apply. 
    • We are unable to fulfil orders for Same Day Delivery if they contain non-eligible item(s). This will be made clear to you when you check out.
    • Our Same Day Delivery is fulfilled using Royal Mailís Tracked-24 service.

    Deliveries Outside the UK

    • Delivery outside the UK are severely disrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic
    • We are unable to guarantee delivery fulfilment time due to the disruption
    • Delivery charges to Europe will vary depending on the weight, contents and destination of your order. Delivery is typically within 5 - 10 working days following dispatch. If your order contains sensitive items such as aerosols which require road-based delivery then it's typically 15 - 20 days
    • We can now ship road-based delivery goods to the following countries: Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Moldova, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
    • We can only deliver prescription items to addresses within the UK (England, Wales, Scotland [inc. islands] N. Ireland and the Isle of Man). Unfortunately, prescription items cannot be sent to non-UK destinations, including the Channel Islands. We are also unable to send pregnancy tests to France
    • Additional delivery charges start at £4.25, depending on the location, size and weight of your order and are shown at the checkout. Delivery is typically 5 - 15 days from dispatch and all prices are shown include V.A.T. Where applicable V.A.T will be deducted at the checkout. Certain weight and product descriptions apply
    • Sadly, we cannot deliver to BFPO addresses
