Dulcolax Tablets are considered a trusted and reliable treatment for constipation. Dulcolax are easy to take thanks to their special comfort coating, which ensures the active ingredient is released right where its needed. The coating resists the acidic digestive juices of the stomach and small intestine to dissolve only as it reaches the alkaline environment of the colon. Each tablet contains a precisely measured amount of the active ingredient bisacodyl that gently stimulates the bowel and colon to relieve constipation in 6-12 hours.
Stimulant laxatives should only be used if other laxatives (bulk-forming and osmotic) are ineffective. Children younger than 12 years should not use stimulant laxatives without advice from a prescriber and clinical guidance should be followed.
