Product details

The Alvita PVC Hot Water Bottle works great for comfort and pain relief. This 2-litre bottle gives good heat therapy, helping with sore muscles, period pain, and general discomfort. It's also perfect for staying warm when it's cold outside.

Warnings / Side effects

WARNING-HOT WATER BOTTLES CAN CAUSE BURNS. AVOID PROLONGED DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE SKIN.

This bottle is manufactured to requirements in excess of British Standard BS 1970:2012.

Replacement of the bottle is recommended after five years from the date of purchase.

The product is covered by a 2 year guarantee from the date of purchase.

Usage / Instructions

For your safety and to obtain the maximum life from your hot water bottle, please read these instructions carefully before use and retain them for future reference.

When filling this hot water bottle, do not use boiling water. Allow the kettle to cool for 5 to 10 minutes.
Fill to a maximum of 2/3 capacity or less. Do not overfill as this might cause the bottle to burst. Hold the bottle by the neck in an upright position and fill slowly and carefully to avoid hot water splashing back. Expel air from the bottle by lowering it carefully onto a flat surface until water appears at the opening. Screw the stopper sufficiently tight to ensure that there is no leakage. Finger-tight should be adequate. Finally, make sure the funnel is empty.
If there is a possibility that prolonged contact with the skin could occur, an adequate cover should be used to prevent burns. Under no circumstances should the hot water bottle be used as a cushion and be sat on.
Do not fill using water from the domestic hot water system as this can considerably shorten the life of the hot water bottle.
Prevent contact with hot surfaces, oil or grease. When not in use, drain completely and keep, with the stopper removed, in a cool, dry, dark place. Prevent exposure to sunlight. Do not place anything on top of the bottle during storage. Always check the bottle and stopper for wear and damage prior to use.
Do not use with infants or persons insensitive to heat (Sensitivity to heat can be impaired by over-tiredness, certain medicines, alcohol, illness etc).
