Ventolin is used to treat asthma and contains salbutamol, a medicine which belongs to a group called fast-acting bronchodilators. Bronchodilators help the airways in your lungs to stay open, making it easier for air to get in and out. They help to relieve chest tightness, wheezing and coughing.
Asthma is caused by an inflammation of the small tubes, bronchi, which carry the air in and out of your lungs. If you are suffering from asthma, these bronchi are more inflamed and sensitive than normal.
When you come into contact with something which irritates the lungs, your airways narrow and the muscles around them tighten, plus there is an increase in sticky mucus – making it hard to breath normally.
Help combat asthma with Ventolin. Simply add to basket to begin your consultation.
Please take Ventolin exactly as your doctor tells you to.
Please read all packaging and leaflets thoroughly before use.
Please note, like all medicine, Ventolin can cause side effects – although this does not apply to everyone who has taken them. Side effects are usually temporary with continued treatment or disappear when you stop tacking the medicine.
Before taking your medicine please read the patient information leaflet in detail to acquaint yourself with the potential side effects.
If you have any questions or concerns, please speak to your GP in the first instance. Alternatively, contact our Online Clinic team for further assistance.
Please read all packaging before taking Ventolin.
