Help to treat the symptoms of influenza with Tamiflu. Tamiflu contains oseltamivir which belongs to a group of medicines known as neuraminidase inhibitors which help to ease the symptoms and prevent the spreading of the flu virus inside the body.
The flu, or influenza, is not the same as the common cold. It is caused by a different group of viruses and the symptoms normally appear suddenly and can be more severe.
The main symptoms of flu include:
You may still experience the same symptoms as the common cold such as a blocked or runny nose, sneezing and a sore throat. Flu can make you feel exhausted and unwell, so stay in bed if possible and rest.
To obtain Tamiflu, simply add to basket to begin your consultation.
Please take Tamiflu exactly as your doctor has told you, making sure to read all packing and leaflets thoroughly before use.
Please note, like all medicine, Tamiflu can cause side effects – although this does not apply to everyone who has taken them. Side effects are usually temporary with continued treatment or disappear when you stop tacking the medicine.
Before taking your medicine please read the patient information leaflet in detail to acquaint yourself with the potential side effects.
If you have any questions or concerns, please speak to your GP in the first instance. Alternatively, contact our Online Clinic team for further assistance.
Please read all packaging before taking Tamiflu.
Side Effects of Tamiflu:
Rare but serious skin reactions and allergic reactions have been reported. Stop taking Tamiflu and call your doctor if you experience any of these reactions, as they could be very serious.
People with the flu, particularly children and adolescents, may be at an increased risk of self injury and confusion shortly after taking Tamiflu and should be closely monitored for signs of unusual behaviour. A healthcare professional should be contacted immediately if the patient taking Tamiflu shows any signs of unusual behaviour.
The most common side effects of Tamiflu are mild to moderate nausea and vomiting. Tamiflu is generally well tolerated.
