Although breastfeeding is best, if you decide to bottle feed or combination feed your lactose intolerant baby then this is a nutritionally complete formula to do just that. It contains essential Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, as well as Iron. It can be used from birth.
SMA Lactose Free Formula:
1 .Boil kettle filled with fresh tap water. Allow boiled water to cool for between 25 - 30 minutes before measuring the required amount of water (see feeding guide on the back of the packaging) into the sterilised bottle, carefully - the water is hot. Do not use artificially softened water or repeatedly boiled water.
2 .Using the scoop provided in the can, add the correct number of scoops of powder (see feeding guide on the back of the packaging), levelling off each scoop with the back of a clean dry knife. Replace plastic lid on can.
3 .Place the sterilised teat and cap on the bottle and shake well. Cool bottle under cold running water until lukewarm. Test temperature by shaking a few drops onto the inside of your wrist.
Breast milk is best for babies and breastfeeding should continue for as long as possible. This product must be used under medical supervision.
Very quick delivery and helped my son amazingly. Would definately recommend it, even if its between prescriptions from your doctor when you know it wont be ready on time. Would definately buy again. Thank you
My son developed transient lactose intolerance after a gut infection at 4 months old. Doctor recommended Soya based infant milk, which smelt revolting
