Phenergan 10mg tablets are indicated for the relief of allergic conditions. Phenergan can also be used to ease motion sickness, helping to prevent nausea so you can enjoy your trip without feeling sick and uncomfortable. Finally, Phenergan can be used as a short-term remedy for insomnia, or difficulty sleeping, helping you to drift off into a good night’s sleep.
The active ingredient in Phenergan is promethazine hydrochloride, which is an antihistamine that belongs to a group of medicines known as phenothiazines. When you have an allergic reaction, your body creates a natural substance called histamine. Histamine sends signals around your body that trigger symptoms of allergy, such as a runny nose or watery eyes. Antihistamines work by blocking histamine, which prevents your symptoms so you won't have to tolerate an allergic reaction.

If you're taking it for a cough or cold symptoms, allergies or nausea, your symptoms should start to improve within 20 minutes. The medicine should work for around 4 to 6 hours. Very helpful for insomnia caused by allergies
My partner and my housemate have really bad allergies during the summer and we've tried literally everything to sleep properly but have suffered insomnia due to these allergies. Having studied pharmacology I had them try Promethazine for a week after many attempts at other antihistamines such as cetrizine, loratadine and benydryl. This was the only thing that worked. Unfortunately, there are not many chemists who stock these medications in our area and they are hard to come by in our area. Take as label states and never take for longer than three weeks otherwise you may develop a dependence on on this medication, ChemistDirect has been helpful in providing the care my loved ones needed. They can finally sleep & function easier at work now,
