Levonelle (levonorgestrel) 1.5mcg tablets are an emergency contraceptive, commonly referred to as the morning after pill. They are taken to reduce the risk of pregnancy following unprotected sex.
When taken within 3 days of unprotected sex it prevents approximately 84% of expected pregnancies. It will not prevent a pregnancy every time but the chances are improved the sooner it is taken after sex.

You will need to take 1 tablet of Levonelle (levonorgestrel) 1.5mcg tablets within 72 hours of having unprotected sex. The sooner you take it, the more effective it will be.
If you vomit or experience sickness within 3 hours of taking Levonelle (levonorgestrel) 1.5mcg tablets you should take another tablet. Please contact your pharmacist or doctor to obtain another tablet.
Take Levonelle (levonorgestrel) 1.5mcg tablets exactly as your doctor has told you. If you are unclear on how to take this medicine, please check with your doctor or pharmacist.
Please note, like all medicine, Levonelle (levonorgestrel) 1.5mcg tablets can cause side effects â€“ although this does not apply to everyone who has taken them. Side effects are usually temporary with continued treatment or disappear when you stop tacking the medicine.
