Isotrex Gel contains the active ingredient isotretinoin which is used to treat acne in young people who are going through or have gone through puberty in adults. It works similar to vitamin A and helps to loosen black and whitehead spots so they come out more easily, stop new ones forming and lower the number of red spots associated with acne.
Acne is a common skin condition which be very frustrating, painful and upsetting. Typically it affects the face, back and chest. Most people will experience acne at some point in their lives which can be mild or more serious.

It is recommended you use Isotrex Gel once or twice each day. It may be 6 to 8 weeks before you start to see the benefits of using Isotrex Gel. You should keep using the medicine until your doctor tells you otherwise. This product is flammable. Keep the gel away from open fire and flames and all sources of ignition during and immediately after you’ve used it.

Please note, like all medicine, Isotrex gel can cause side effects – although this does not apply to everyone who has taken them. Side effects are usually temporary with continued treatment or disappear when you stop tacking the medicine.
