Warnings / Side effects

Do not take Gaviscon Double Action Mint if you: You are allergic to any of the ingredients listed in the leaflet, as very rarely difficulty in breathing and skin rashes have occurred.

Please see your doctor before you take this medicine if you: Have been advised to follow a low sodium or low calcium diet,
Need this product daily for a prolonged period,
Are taking other medicines that may interact with antacids, such as antibiotics (e.g. tetracyclines, quinolones), iron supplements, antifungals, digoxin, beta-blockers, neuroleptics, thyroxine, chloroquine, or bisphosphonates.

Taking the medicine with food and drink: Do not drink directly from the bottle. This product contains sodium and may require dietary consideration.

Pregnancy and breast feeding: You can take this product while pregnant or breastfeeding, but always consult your doctor or pharmacist if unsure.

Driving and using machines: Gaviscon Double Action Mint does not usually affect your ability to drive or operate machinery.

If you take more than you should: If you or someone else takes more than the recommended dose, or if a child accidentally swallows it, contact your doctor or nearest hospital immediately. Take the bottle with you so the doctor knows what has been taken.

Additional Warnings: This product contains methyl (E218) and propyl (E216) parahydroxybenzoates, which may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed).

Usage / Instructions

For oral use only. Shake well before each use.
Adults and children 12 years and over: Take 10�20ml (two to four 5ml spoonfuls) after meals and at bedtime, up to four times a day.
Children under 12 years: Should only be taken on medical advice.
Check that the cap seal is unbroken before first use.
If you take too much, you may feel bloated. It is unlikely to cause harm, but consult your doctor or pharmacist if concerned.
If you forget a dose, do not double up�just continue as normal.
If symptoms persist after 7 days, consult your doctor.
Contains sodium, methyl (E218), and propyl (E216) parahydroxybenzoates.
