Product details

Doublebase Gel is an intensive treatment for dry or chapped skin that may be red, itchy, and sore. Common examples of these dry skin disorders include psoriasis, elderly pruritus (itchy skin due to aging), ichthyosis (abnormal scaly skin), various forms of eczema, and dermatitis. Suitable for use on all ages, including babies, this unique formula leaves skin soft, moisturised and protected while preventing irritation. This product can be used in addition to any other treatments recommended by your doctor or pharmacist.

Warnings / Side effects

Do not use this product if you are allergic to isopropyl myristate, liquid paraffin, or any of the other listed products. Do not smoke or go near naked flames - risk of severe burns. Fabric that has been in contact with this product burns very easily and is a serious fire hazard. Washing clothing and bedding may reduce product build-up but not totally remove it.

Usage / Instructions

For maximum benefit you should apply the gel on a regular basis and as often as required.

Before using the 500 g and 1 kg bottles, turn the top of the pump dispenser in the direction of the 'open' arrow to unlock it. After unlocking, you will need to press down the pump dispenser several times to prime the pump before any product is dispensed.
Apply Doublebase Gel to the affected areas of the skin on a regular basis and as often as required.
Use a few gentle strokes to smooth the gel across the skin in the same direction as hair growth (like stroking a cat or dog). If necessary, allow time for any excess to soak in. Do not rub the skin vigorously.
This product can also be used before and after washing, showering or having a bath to help condition your skin and stop it from drying further.
If you are applying another treatment to the same areas of skin as Doublebase Gel, try to avoid mixing the two products. This can be achieved by applying the treatments alternately, leaving sufficient time to allow the previous application to soak in.

Ingredients

The active ingredients are isopropyl myristate (15% w/w) and liquid paraffin (15% w/w). The other ingredients are glycerol, carbomer, sorbitan laurate, trolamine, phenoxyethanol and purified water.

Great product for psoriasis dryness. Using the cream alongside UVB treatment. 1kg size is twice what Dr issues so can use it freely. Very happy. Will purchase again.
