Vitamin D3, the sunlight vitamin, helps the body to absorb and utilise the calcium. Bioconcepts Vitamin D 2000 IU not only helps maintain healthy teeth and bones but can also helps reduce the risk of diabetes, treat weak bones in osteoporosis sufferers and recent studies have also shown that it may help lower the risk of developing cancer, compared to people with lower levels of Vitamin D.
Bioconcepts Vitamin D3 2000 IU Tablets contains Vitamin D3 the sunlight vitamin, which helps the body to absorb and utilise the calcium.
Vitamin D is a steroid vitamin, a group of fat-soluble prohormones, which encourages the absorption and metabolism of calcium. Vitamin D is obtained from sun exposure, unfortunately due to lifestyle changes many do not reach the recommended levels of sun exposure, reducing the amount of Vitamin D in the body. Food and vitamin supplements may help the body to absorb and utilise the calcium it needs.
Vitamin D3 tablets are also important for hormone regulation, inflammation reduction, and the optimal functioning of the nervous system and the immune system.
Take vitamin D pills if you want to aid the absorption of calcium, aid bone and tooth structure, and regulate your immune system. Vitamin D pills also help to promote cell growth and nerve transmission and help treat weak bones.

I was told I had a severe vitamin D deficiency earlier this year after feeling really terrible for 18 months and then breaking a toe.I was prescribed high dose tablets for 3 months, then was told to take large 5,000IU daily of Vitamin D3 for 3 months then have a blood test. My blood test results revealed I had to take 2,000IU daily for the rest of my life not 1,000IU as initially recommended. The only place I could find the right doses of Vitamin D3 was either an independent pharmacy or here. The other well known retailers only sell lower doses of Vitamin D3 meaning I would have to take lots of tablets to achieve the correct dose or have fight to get them on prescription. (I had to fight to get diagnosed but that is another story.) There is no difference between the quality of tablets the independent pharmacy and Chemist Direct sell. So as long as I buy two bottles at a time it makes more sense for me to buy my tablets from here particularly as if you are in the UK standard delivery is normally 2-3 days. The independent pharmacy tablets change greatly in size depending on the dosage there as Chemist Directs tablets tend to be the same size regardless. This consistency means you dont end up choking on over sized tablets or losing over small ones if you change the dosage.
