Alvita's Advanced Blood Pressure Monitor is ideal for home use. It can be used for upper arm usage and has enhanced features that allow users to take readings more easily. For long-term monitoring, the extra-large screen makes it easy to read. To ensure that the device provides accurate results, it has been subject to a series of tests. It also includes comfort inflation technology and a movement detector. The large memory of the device allows for storage of up 120 measurements in two different zones. This makes it perfect for two people.
Relax your arm and be comfortable before you start testing your Blood Pressure. Keep your palms in front of you and slide the cuff onto your arm, ensuring that it touches your heart. Securely fasten the velcro to ensure that the intake tube is in line with the artery position. When the cuff has been properly fitted, there should still be enough space between the arm & the cuff for a finger to be inserted.
To measure, keep the cuff and the heart at the same height. Push and hold the start button. The cuff will quickly tighten, then gradually release the air. It will take about 40 seconds. The monitor will then display your blood pressure and heart rate.
Do not take your blood pressure after you have eaten or smoked, and do not wear any tight-fitting clothes before you begin. Always measure with the same arm, and compare measurements taken at different times of the day.
Before you begin, make sure you have read the manual. There are many tips and warnings that you need to be aware of. If you have any issues with your monitor, the user manual will be of great assistance.
