Vaniqa Cream 11.5%:

What is Vanqia Cream?

Vaniqa (eflornithine HCl) Cream, 13.9% is the first and only FDA approved prescription cream clinically proven to reduce the growth of unwanted facial hair (UFH) in women. Over time you may be removing hair less often while using your hair remover product, and many women see significant results within just 8 weeks. In clinical studies, the longer Vaniqa was used, the better it worked.

Vaniqa doesn't remove hair like other products you may be using. Instead it actually reduces the growth, and complements your current method of hair removal, which you should continue to use. Vaniqais a light, elegant cream that works with all skin types.

How does it work?

Vaniqa works right at the source of the problem, in the hair follicle. It is thought that Vaniqa works during the growth stage of the hair cycle by blocking an enzyme in the follicle that is necessary for hair to grow.

How do I use it?

Use Vaniqa after cleansing and before applying moisturizer, sunscreen or cosmetics. Apply a thin layer of Vaniqa on the affected area of your face twice a day, until it's absorbed into your skin.

You may want to use Vaniqa once in the morning and once at night as part of your daily skin care routine, since you should wait 8 hours between applications, and at least 4 hours before washing your face again. Remember, you should continue to use your current method of hair removal.

How long do I use it?

Vaniqa does not work instantly and it takes time for results to become visible, but you should see improvement in as early as eight weeks. Using Vaniqa doesn't mean you don't have to deal with unwanted facial hair anymore. Vaniqa complements your current method of hair removal by reducing the rate of hair growth, so over time you should be removing UFH less frequently.

What Causes Unwanted Facial Hair?

Facial hair may begin to grow in women as a result of the natural aging process. Every woman has a normal amount of male hormones (called "androgens") in her body. As women age, the body produces more of these androgens which may cause an increase in hair growth on the chin, upper cheeks or neck area. Though heredity or age causes most UFH, some facial hair growth can be linked to underlying medical conditions that can cause an increase in androgen production, in turn causing UFH. One cause of excess androgens in the body is obesity. Fat retains androgen, so the more overweight a person is, the more androgen is kept in the body, potentially causing some male-patterned hair growth. Other medical causes for excessive hair growth can be polycystic ovary syndrome, or hormonal fluctuations due to pregnancy or menopause.

Who has Unwanted Facial Hair?

Unwanted Facial Hair (UFH) is more common than you might think: 41 million women in the United States alone remove unwanted hair at least once in six months, with 20% of those removing UFH weekly, and 4% of them removing it every single day1. So if you're bothered by facial hair, you're not alone.

Who are these 41 million women with UFH? They come from all age groups, ethnicities and income levels. Though they come from diverse backgrounds, one thing they share is their frustration with UFH.

Ways to Manage Unwanted Facial Hair:

For the millions of women who manage their UFH, the large number of facial hair removers should come as no surprise. There are products that cut, dissolve, lighten, remove and even alter the biological production of facial hair, including chin hair. Of all of the different management methods available, most do not permanently remove hair.

How to use Vaniqa Cream 11.5% - Always use Vaniqa exactly as your doctor has instructed you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.

I have been using Vaniqa for a year now and its amazing I`ve tried everything from waxing, shaving, tweezing and even the nono machine and nothing keeps my face smooth and hair free like Vaniqa, I would suggest tweezing all the unwanted facial hair first ensuring you pull it right out from the root, then starting your Vaniqa routine that same day and stick to to it to see results trust me you will never turn back!!
