Regaine Extra Strength contains a 5% concentration of the active ingredient Minoxidil. It works for 4 out of 5 men to help prevent further hair loss and has been shown to re-grow some hair in 3 out of 5 men. Results may become noticeable in just eight weeks. When you start using Regaine, you may notice a temporary increase in hair loss in the first 2-6 weeks. This is entirely normal and is good news – it shows that your hair is shifting from a dormant phase to an active growing phase. 

 

"What causes hair loss?"

 

The most common cause of hair loss in men and women is androgenetic alopecia (AGA). Heredity, hormones and age all play a part in this condition. In AGA the genes and hormones in your body have a shrinking effect on your hair follicles, making them ineffective at growing new hairs.

 

"How does Regaine work?"

 

Regaine contains the active ingredient Minoxidil which works by increasing the supply of blood and nutrients to the hair follicles, strengthening existing hair and stimulating secondary growth. This produces thicker, longer, more-visible hair. Regaine achieves these results without affecting male hormones. Regaine also make a gentle, non-silicon based shampoo called Pregaine which complements Regaine products by cleaning your hair effectively without preventing your treatment from being absorbed.

 

"How soon will it start to work?"

 

Unfortunately, there's no hard and fast answer. Clinical studies have shown that if there is a response to the use of Regaine Regular Strength or Regaine for Men Gel, re growth can occur as early as 16 weeks.. If you use Regaine Extra Strength you may start to see results after 8 weeks. But remember that everyone is diferent so you just need to be patient.

I started loosing my hair in my early 20's, it really affected by self esteem. I am now in my early 30's and have been using Regaine for over a year and I don't mean to blow my own horn but I look great! This stuff is well worth a try and the prices on this site can't be beaten! I will definitely be but from Chemist Direct again.

I can honestly say and confirm that the best thing i have done for my physical appearance this year was buying the Regaine extra strength, as i grew older i realised i was loosing my hair which made me very unhappy,i am a young man in my late 20s and one of my beliefs is looking good, is good business and Regaine has brough back my confidence completely.

Regaine is highly effective solution for hair growth but takes time for results. Hair loss problem troubled me for a lot of time. I ordered Regaine like 4 months back from chemist direct which saved a lot of my money

Regaine extra strength does work but not overnight. Stick with it for at least 3 months and also use Alpecin C1 Shampoo and Alpecin After Shampoo Liquid. These all used together have the best results.

Regain is a great product and easy to use. Compared to some of the other minoxidil based products (usually from the USA) I would definitely use regain every time. It's not as greasy on your hair and soaks in quicker. I noticed results within three months initially and have maintained results.
