What does it do?

In adults and children, Diprobase Ointment is used to treat red, inflamed, damaged, dry or chapped skin and to protect raw skin areas. If you are suffering from a skin condition called eczema, and your skin is dry, the ointment can be applied before having a bath, to prevent your skin from drying even further. Eczema is a common skin disease, which causes the skin to become red and itchy.

I suffer from extremely dry, flaky, sore, inflammed skin primarily on my face, neck and chest (but also have eczema on my arms too). I used to wake up in the morning with my pillow looking like a snow storm and use to exfolliate so much dry skin off my face it turned it raw. Having used Diprobase Ointment my skin's almost back to normal after just a few days and the red, itchy skin is gone. It's VERY thick and greasy (like Vaseline) so a little goes a long way so probably best used on very dry skin only, but it really works and I've found I don't need to use my steroid cream any more too, which is a bonus. I've found using Simple Derma Cream on my face after showering is brilliant, followed by a thin layer of Diprobase. Doublebase is also very good..
