Allergy & Hayfever Relief Tablets provide symptomatic relief of allergic rhinitis including hayfever and allergic skin conditions such as hives. Allergy & Hayfever Relief One A Day Tablets provide relief of allergy symptoms such as running and itchy nose, sneezing, burning and itchy eyes, whether these are due to hayfever or whether they occur all year round. Can be used to relieve itchy skin caused by hives.

1. How can you sell this item for so much less than my local chemist?

Our prices on this medication are based on the non branded version of Clarityn. Clarityn's active ingredient is 10mg Loratidine which actually provides the desired effects.
2. Does your medication give me the same effect as the branded version?
Absolutely. When a pharmaceutical company develops a drug it is given unique rights to sell it for a number of years. Once that ends any company can make it providing they meet the regulations. Therefore, over the counter drugs have identical medical properties regardless of brand, packaging and advertising.
The key is the ‘active' ingredient - the chemical that actually treats the symptom. Protections and quality control apply equally to all branded and non branded products. The non branded product must meet the same quality standards as the branded version. Packaging may vary, but the items are identical and the results will be the same.

If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember and then carry on as before. Do not double up for a missed dose.

If you are worried by these or any other side effects, you should discuss them with your doctor.
-If you have ever had an allergic reaction to Loratadine you should not take them.
-You should not take them if you are pregnant or think that you are pregnant or if you are breast-feeding.
-These tablets should not be given to children under the age of 2 years or weighing less than 30kg.
-If you are having skin patch testing to identify allergies stop taking this medicine at least two days before the tests.
-Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have severe liver problems.
-You do not have to avoid drinking alcohol whilst taking Loratadine Tablets.
