Actifed Multi-Action Tablets
Actifed Multi-Action tablets provide symptomatic relief of upper respiratory tract disorders including allergic rhinitis, vasomotor rhinitis, the common cold and influenza. It contains ingredients which works in two ways: An antihistamine action to relieve the symptoms of allergies, such as sneezing and a drying action to relieve other symptoms of colds, flu and hayfever such as runny noses and watery eyes.

Actifed Multi-Action Tablets contain a decongestant to relieve nasal congestion as well as blocked sinuses and catarrh.

How does it work?

Multi-action Actifed tablets contain two active ingredients, pseudoephedrine and triprolidine. The combination of antihistamine and decongestant in Actifed tablets is used to relieve the symptoms of nasal allergies, colds and flu.

How does Pseudoephedrine work?

Pseudoephedrine is a type of medicine called a decongestant. It helps to reduce the feeling of congestion and also reduces the production of mucus.

Pseudoephedrine can be used to relieve a blocked nose and sinus congestion associated with conditions such as nasal allergies, colds and flu.

How does Triprolidine work?

Triprolidine is a type of medicine called a sedating antihistamine. It works by preventing the actions of histamine.

Histamine is a chemical produced naturally by the body that has many effects, including the production of allergic symptoms, such as a runny nose. Blocking histamine receptors prevents the actions of histamine, which reduces the production of mucus in the nose.

What is it used for?

Relieving symptoms such as nasal and sinus congestion associated with nasal allergies, colds and flu.
