Norethisterone 5mg tablets have been developed to help women temporarily delay their menstruation cycles. This treatment can be used if a special occasion, important meeting or holiday would make it preferable to delay your period.
The active ingredient, norethisterone belongs to a group of medicines called progestogens which work by acting on the receptors in the body to mime or exaggerate the effects of the natural hormone, progesterone.

The typical dose of norethisterone 5mg is 3 tablets per day, starting 3 days before your period is due. The uncoated tablets should be taken with water. The tablets should be taken whole and not divided or crushed.
Please do not take more norethisterone than prescribed.
