How to take Niquitin CQ Lozenge 2mg – Mint:

Adult smokers 18 years or over:

  • Step 1 (weeks 1 to 6): 1 lozenge every 1 to 2 hours. During weeks 1 to 6 use at least nine lozenges per day. Do not use more than 15 lozenges per day.
  • Step 2: (weeks 7 to 9): 1 lozenge every 2 to 4 hours.
  • Step 3: (weeks 10 to 12): 1 lozenge every 4 to 8 hours.
  • For the next 12 weeks use 1 to 2 lozenges a day only when strongly tempted to smoke. Not to be used for more than 24 consecutive weeks.
  • Following the step-down programme in this way will let you gradually wean yourself off nicotine so you can quit for good.
  • Allow lozenge to dissolve in the mouth, occasionally moving lozenge from one side to the other, until dissolved (about 20-30 minutes).
  • If you’re not ready to give up smoking straightaway, you can also take NiQuitin Lozenges to help you cut down before stopping completely.
