I have had blonde hair for years...it was over-lightened. It made me look older
I have tried a number of red hair colours since a changed from blonde ( dyed) , about a year ago. My natural hair colour is dark chestnut ( some grey at the roots), but I had been dying it blond for a few years. My skin tone is very fair with a fair amount of freckles.I had initially settled on Nice n Easy Natural Golden Auburn Permanent Hair Colour 108, which is a brilliant colour but... after just the first wash, begins to fade, and fade and fade. So after just a week and 3 washes there is nothing left of the original colour glory.I then decided to give this colour , Nice n Easy Light Auburn Permanent Hair Colour 110, a go.I have to say that I am extremely pleased. It is a very natural looking red. People have even asked me if it is my natural hair colour. Since the last application, I have washed it a number of times and see no fading. The colour is a rich darkish golden red and does not have any of the fake tones that are so often in reddish hair dyes.I really recommend Nice n Easy Light Auburn Permanent Hair Colour 110. For me, it has been the best one I have tried and shall go on using. One bit of advise. A red hair colour has to be looked after and what I have discovered is that an organic shampoo goes a long way in preserving the colour. I have been using Weleda Rosemary & Ginger Shampoo and can say that it makes a big difference!! It does not contain all those harsh chemicals that strip the hair of the colour and shine. Value for money is obviously good since the colour fades minimally, therefore repeat applications dont have to be done until roots appear.
