Dermalo Bath Emollient is an intensively moisturising treatment for dry and problem skin. It helps to treat dry or chapped skin conditions that may cause the skin to be itchy, red and sore. This includes elderly pruritus (itchy skin due to aging), ichthyosis (abnormal scaley skin), various forms of eczema, dermatitis, and other dry skin disorders. The whole family can use Dermalo Bath Emollient and it is even suitable for babies. Skin is left softened, moisturised and protected and irritation is prevented. This formula is also suitable for use in combination with any other treatments your doctor or pharmacist has recommended.
Dermalo Bath Emollient can be used in 2 ways. You can either add it to your bath water or smooth it over your skin in the shower and rinse it off.
Key Features of Dermalo Bath Emollient
Do not use this product if you are allergic to liquid paraffin, acetylated wool alcohols, or any of the other ingredients listed. Do not smoke or go near naked flames - risk of severe burns. Fabric that has been inContact with this product burns very easily and is a serious fire hazard. Washing clothing and bedding may reduce product build-up but not totally remove it. Take special care when using this product: it can make your bath slippery, so be careful to avoid slipping when getting into and out of the bath. Showers will also become slippery. Be careful when handling babies and young children. After use, clean out the bath with a suitable detergent to remove any remaining greasiness.
For maximum benefit you should use this product whenever you bath or shower.

You may prefer to use your normal soap as well as Dermalo Bath Emollient when bathing. As a general rule, however, the use of normal soaps and foaming bath products (even those labelled 'moisturising') is best avoided, or at least kept to a minimum. Ideally, a fragrancefree soap substitute should be used instead, despite the fact that this type of product does not foam or lather.
If you forget to use Dermalo Bath Emollient
Do not worry if you occasionally forget to use it, just carry on using the product as described the next time you require it.
The active ingredients in this product are liquid paraffin (65% w/w) and acetylated wool alcohols (5% w/w). The other ingredients are isopropyl myristate and macrogol isotridecyl ether.
