Clenil Modulite Cfc Free Inhaler 250mcg helps to reduce inflammation in the lungs and airways, making it easier for you to breathe. Clenil Modulite is an inhaler that is CFC free and contains the active ingredient beclometasone diproprionate. This is a synesthetic corticosteroid that works to reduce inflammation in the lungs and airways and prevent subsequent asthma attacks. Clenil Modulite Cfc Free inhaler 250mg is a preventer and should not be used to relieve an asthma attack.

What is Clenil Modulite Cfc Free Inhaler 250mcg & what is it used for?

Clenil Modulite has been clinically designed to reduce inflammation in the lungs which can lead to asthma attacks. Using the synesthetic corticosteroid beclometasone diprionate, Clenil Modulite replicates and boosts your body’s natural response to inflammation. Beclometasone works by preventing the release of certain chemicals from cells. These cells are important in the immune system as they produce the immune and allergic response that results in inflammation. By inhibiting their release in to the lungs and airways, inflammation is reduced and subsequently, breathing should be easier.

Clenil Modulite inhalers do not contain CFCs as a propellant. As a result they have a slightly different taste and feel than inhalers that do, however they are just as effective. If you have any questions, please consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Once you start using Clenil Modulite, your doctor should prescribe it by its brand name on further prescriptions, to make sure you are getting the same medicine each time. This is to ensure you are receiving the correct dosage, as the only other beclometasone inhaler on the market has a higher dosage.

Clenil Modulite is a preventer, and should be taken regularly to avoid asthma attacks. It should not be used to relieve asthma attacks, as it is not designed for such use. Asthma attacks can be treated using a reliever, which quickly opens the airways. You should always carry your reliever at all times to relieve symptoms of an asthma attack. If you are using your reliever more than usual, please consult your doctor.

You should not suddenly stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you otherwise, as asthma symptoms are likely to return.

Inhalers may cause an unexpected increase in wheezing and breathing difficulty. If this happens, do not use inhaler again, use your reliever to open airways and consult your doctor.

Inhaled corticosteroids can sometimes cause a fungal infection in the mouth called oral thrush. To reduce the chances of this, you should rinse your mouth with water and clean your teeth after inhaling each dose.

Inhaled corticosteroids have considerably fewer side effects than steroids taken orally. However, when taken for extended periods at high dosage, they do have the potential to cause various side effects such as glaucoma, cataracts, osteoporosis, slowed growth in children and adolescents, and suppression of adrenal gland function. Your doctor should therefore prescribe you the lowest dose necessary to control your symptoms.

Do not take if:

You have a known sensitivity or allergy to any of the listed ingredients. If you feel you have suffered a reaction to this medicine, please contact your doctor immediately.

Use with caution if:

You have an active or inactive tuberculosis infection of the lungs.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding & fertility

This medicine can be used during pregnancy, however it should be used with caution. Wherever possible, asthma medication should be taken by inhaler to minimise effects on the baby.

You should consult your doctor before breastfeeding whilst using this medicine.
