Usually have the chalky pessary which worked well. Tried the gel one but found that the pessary did not stay in the applicator and in trying to put it back in the thing burst squirting the medication out.
Much more comfortable than the Chalky pessary that Canestan do - easy to apply too. Larger than the normal tablet pessary - teardrop shaped but comfortable.Definitely one to do on a night in bed - the pessary dissolves and releases the thin gel like cream - white/cream colour. There is mess when you stand up - be sure to wear knickers with a panty liner in - even when in bed.But the mess goes within a few hours int he morning as opposed to 1-2 days with the normal pessary.Symptoms were gone by the morning when used with the cream.
