Buy Milton Antibacterial products for your Baby Care

Milton has been sterilising babies feeding utensils for over 60 years and is clinically proven to protect against all germs (bacteria, fungi and viruses) that can be harmful to your baby.

Should I sterilise baby utensils?

Yes. Babies are at their most vulnerable in the first 12 months of life, while their immune systems are still developing, so it is very important that all feeding utensils are sterilised thoroughly until they are at least 12 months old.

What Is Sterilisation?

Sterilisation is the only method of ensuring that all bacteria, virus, fungi and spores have been killed. There are several ways of doing this, but not all are as effective and not all can be used for baby feeding utensils.

Milton Sterilising Fluid is effective against:

  • Rotavirus - an air borne virus passed on from person to person.
  • Campylobacter - the most common type of food poisoning. Often contracted from cats & dogs.
  • Salmonella - often due to undercooked foods.
  • Listeria - from poor handwashing.
  • E Coli - from raw meat and often passed on from not washing hands after the toilet.
  • Bacterial spores - bacteria in a dormant (non-active) state.
  • Candida - a fungus that causes thrush in babies.

What do I need to sterilise?

  • Bottles and teats
  • Breast pumps
  • Soothers
  • Storage containers for breast milk
  • Weaning items - plastic bowls, plates, spoons etc
  • Teething items

To ensure you eliminate harmful germs, you can use a diluted solution of Milton to;

  • Wipe the changing mat
  • Clean the nappy bin
  • Soak baby's plastic toys
