How are Chemist Direct and Online Doctor regulated?

Here at Chemist Direct, and our sister company Pharmacy2U, we take customer safety and satisfaction very seriously. To do that, we’re regulated in several ways, to give you peace of mind for shopping healthcare online.

Chemist Direct and Pharmacy2U are both registered online pharmacies. All pharmacies in Great Britain must be registered with the GPhC and meet their standards for registered pharmacies. This registration gives customers reassurance that the medicines they buy are safe, and that the pharmacy is operating in the right way.

We’re also registered with and approved by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency. This means we are legally able to sell medicines online, and are able to distribute both pharmacy and prescription products.

Chemist Direct and Pharmacy2U also part of the LegitScript certification program. This means we must meet their standards for legality, safety and transparency. LegitScript monitor us regularly to make sure we continue to uphold high standards of patient safety.

Pharmacy2U and our Online Doctor service are also registered with the Care Quality Commission. They regularly inspect our service to ensure the services we offer are safe and effective and that our pharmacists and doctors are caring and responsive.

You can be sure that when you shop with Online Doctor, Chemist Direct or Pharmacy2U that we are committed to maintaining high standards of care. To find out more about these regulations, you can click on the logos in each website’s footer to read more.
