Natural Ingredient Focus: Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is a popular ingredient in health and beauty products, and for very good reasons. The succulent plant can aid digestion, treat psoriasis and acne, soothe burns, heal wounds, relieve heartburn and even lower blood sugar.

Aloe is a  great skincare ingredient, with it’s richly hydrating properties. The clear gel from inside the leaves is easily absorbed, adding moisture deep down. We love Vaseline Spray and Go Aloe Moisturiser for the body, Garnier Hand Intensive 7 Days Hydrating Cream with Aloe Vera for the hands, and Lypsyl Cucumber and Aloe Vera for super soft lips.

Aloe is often included in after sun treatments. It cools and soothes a sunburn and adds moisture, helping the skin to repair itself. If you’ve overdone the sun, try Garnier Ambre Solaire After Sun Lotion or Calypso After Sun Aloe Vera Gel.

Aloe can also be excellent for taking the sting out of insect bites. Try Pyramid Aloe Vera Bug Bite Relief Pen to get the healing underway.

Sensitive Toiletries

If your skin is dry or very sensitive, toiletries with Aloe can be gentle enough for regular use. If, after shaving, your armpits are prone to red bumps, or sore, irritated skin, try a deodorant with Aloe to soothe the area. We like Sure Woman Aloe Vera Anti-Perspirant Deodorant Roll-On.

For dry skin, a body wash with Aloe, like Faith In Nature Aloe Vera Foam Shower Gel, could be the answer. It adds moisture, and is suitable for very sensitive skin.

An Aloe Vera supplement is excellent to support a healthy diet, promote healthy skin and aid healthy digestion. We love Bioconcepts Aloe Vera 10000mg, and Forza Aloe Vera Capsules.
