Animal Instincts Slow Feed Dog Bowl -

A common problem which affects many dogs is that they eat too fast. Eating too fast can result in a number of problems including , poor digestion, which can result in vomiting , chocking and swallowing so much air that they develop bloat. Bloat is a potentially life threatening condition if not treated immediately. According to a report by Globespan bloat is the second biggest killer of dogs after cancer.

The Slow Feed Bowl has been designed to stop dogs eating too fast. The heavy duty plastic bowls are split into four feeding zones, each zone designed to stop the dog putting its full snout into the bowl, which means the dog cannot get as much food into its mouth at once compared to a standard bowl.

After finishing each zone the dog needs to adjust its position in order to eat out of the next zone. As well as preventing potentially life threatening conditions slowing down the feeding process also helps pets retain more nutrition from their food.

The long lasting bowls have an anti-skid rubber base which helps prevent sliding and spillage. They are also easy to clean, dishwasher safe and suitable for both wet and dry food.

Very pleased with the bowl,it has certainly slowed our Rottweiler down with her eating as she used to be like a vacuum cleaner and almost choke..

A very good product, it does slow down his eating. We have a very large weimaraner and he finds it awkward getting into the corners of the bowl. Would still recommend this product..

Have a lab puppy who ate his food so fast he got hiccups, bloating and diarhoea. This has slowed him down. Ordered the Jumbo size in error, but he will grow into it! Only suitable for dry food I would think?.
