Rosehip is often teamed up with glucosamine to help you maintain good joint health. The rose has historically been known for its romantic attributes. Its fruit, the rose hip, has also been observed and used for centuries based on the belief that it possessed healing properties.

Rosehip is widely believed to possess anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties which may help to assist in the defence of damage-causing inflammatory chemical molecules attacking the joints. It is these 'free radicals' that may potentially harm the soft tissues within the joints, which can lead to many forms of common joint problems. By taking RoseMax™ daily, you may help to decrease joint inflammation, joint pain & as a result, improve mobility.

How Does Rosehip Work? The Science Behind The Secret.....

Rose hips (Rosehip extracts) are a rich source of fatty and volatile oils, tannins and antioxidant compounds (polyphenols and flavonoids). All of these are especially noted for their anti-inflammatory properties and it is therefore no wonder that this rich source of nutrients has found favour with those looking to maintain good joint health.

The Rosehip extract within RoseMax™ is taken from the seeds within in the red berry-like fruit of the wild rose bush. Recent Studies show that Rosehip could be more effective than painkillers at easing the pain of arthritis sufferers

"Rosehip could be more effective than painkillers at easing the pain of arthritis sufferers, scientists claim" Telegraph, 2008.

There have been numerous studies to support these claims. A study conducted by researchers from the University of California, and Fredericksburg Hospital, Copenhagen University Library and the University of Copenhagen in Denmark, was published in the journal Osteoarthritis and Cartilage, 2008. Its sole purpose was to determine if Rosehip powder did in fact reduce joint pain in Osteoarthritis suffers.

The Study

The 287 participants (of 3 studies) were randomly given either Rosehip powder or a placebo and tested over a period of 3 months. Results showed a reduction in pain by rosehip powder (145) compared to placebo (142). The researchers believe that these results indicate that rosehip powder does reduce pain. Scientists of a British research team led by V. De Silva published a summary of clinical studies conducted until January 2009 in the December 2010 issue of "Oxford Rheumatology," that evaluated complementary medicine as a treatment for osteoarthritis. Rose hip, among other herbs and supplements, showed some evidence of being beneficial for managing osteoarthritis.

In the journal "Phytomedicine" a study was published by researchers S.N. Willich, K. Rossnagel, S, Roll, A. Wagner, O. Mune, J. Erlendson, A. Kharazmi, H. Sorensen, K. Winther; February 2010 entitled 'Rose Hip Herbal Remedy In Patients With Rheumatoid Arthritis-A Randomised Controlled Trial'. Scientists determined that rose hip acted as an analgesic to reduce the level of pain in patients who have rheumatoid arthritis. The study revealed that the majority of patients felt their pain level decreased. It was determined that rose hips may be beneficial to rheumatoid arthritis sufferers.

Is RoseMax™ right for me?

If you suffer from arthritis or simply poor joint health and do not like to continually take anti-inflammatory medications that may cause unwanted side effects, but you still require help with maintaining your joint health, then taking RoseMax™ daily as an alternative supplement to NSAID's such as ibuprofen may be for you.

RoseMax™ is made up of 100% natural ingredients and are without question (it would seem) the best way to take advantage of the benefits of rosehip.

Clinical Studies....The Science behind AbsorbMax™AbsorbMax™ has been clinically proven to significantly enhances the absorption rate of RoseMax's™ nutrients into the body.

To believe the more you consume nutrients, the more the body will use is not always true. Some nutrients taken at a higher dose may actually counteract the benefit and will not be absorbed by the body. If the nutrients are in the right place at the right time in the digestive tract then the supplemented nutrient absorption is enhanced.

AbsorbMax™ increases the bioavailability of nutritional compounds, meaning AbsorbMax™ provides a more effective method of nutrient transportation within the body, as the nutrients are absorbed much more rapidly into the bloodstream than in other competitor supplements.

Clinical Studies....The Science behind AbsorbMax™

AbsorbMax™ contains BioPerine. The subtle, yet potent properties of BioPerine have been measured in several clinical studies. These studies measured the absorption of three distinct categories of products. The categories evaluated with and without BioPerine were fat-soluble (beta-carotene), water-soluble (vitamin B6) and a mineral (selenium, in the form of selenomethionine).

Gastrointestinal absorption of all the studied nutrients, as measured by amounts present in the blood, increased dramatically when administered with BioPerine as compared to the control group receiving the nutrient alone. Selenium levels increased by 30%, beta-carotene increased by 60%, and the vitamin B6 increase was slightly higher than beta-carotene. All studies used BioPerine in the amount of 5 mg per dose.

Rosehip 'better than painkillers' for arthritis - 19 May 2008

Rosehip could be more effective than painkillers at easing the pain of arthritis sufferers, scientists claim. The pain-relieving properties of rosehip, which has previously been linked to reduced inflammation in osteoarthritis, have been suggested for decades. Now scientists have found that powder made from a wild variety of rosehip, Rosa canina, is better at reducing pain in patients than paracetamol.

They found that rosehip was almost three times more effective than standard paracetamol at relieving pain. It was also almost 40 per cent more effective than another common therapy, the drug glucosamine. Rosehip powder also did not have the side-effects associated with other pain medications, including constipation and drowsiness.

It is hoped that the fruit of the plant could bring relief to the more than two million sufferers of osteoarthritis in Britain, many of whom suffer acute pain. A review of studies, published in the medical journal, Osteoarthritis and Cartilage, looked at the effect of the powder on more than 300 patients who were given different pain-relieving medications for an average of three months.

Orangey-red, oval berries, sometimes as much as an inch long. They're the fruit of the dog rose and found in hedgerows from August until November. Seeds should not be eaten because they can irritate the mouth and stomach. One of the richest sources of vitamin C, but also A, D and E, iron, calcium, antioxidants and fatty acids. Rosehip syrup was given to children during World War II for its vitamin C content. One cup of 30 berries contains as much as 40 oranges.

Powdered rosehip is three times better at reducing the pain of osteoarthritis than paracetamol, according to research at the University of Copenhagen, though just why is unclear. There were also none of the side effects associated with conventional painkillers such as constipation, diarrhoea or drowsiness.

'There is now good evidence for rosehips for osteoarthritis from a series of studies' says Professor Edzard Ernst, professor of complementary medicine at the Peninsula School of Medicine in Exeter and Plymouth.

Joints and ageJoints and age

The most common problem of getting older is joint pain and morning joint stiffness. Several joints on both sides of the body are usually affected, especially those of the hands, wrists, knees, and feet. Affected joints may feel warm or appear swollen. People may have other symptoms, including weakness, fatigue, weight loss, and, occasionally, fever.

"Rose-hips may provide an effective treatment for sufferers of rheumatoid arthritis, new research suggests" Telegraph, June 2007.

The onset of actual bone and joint disorders is gradual and most often affects the hips, knees, fingers, and spine, although other joints also may be involved. Pain is the main symptom, which usually worsens with exercise and is relieved by rest. Morning stiffness is also common and diminishes with movement. As the disorder progresses, joint motion is lost, and tenderness and grating sensations may develop. Problems in the spine may lead to shooting pains down the arms or legs.

Dr Rod Hughes, a Consultant Rheumatologist at St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey, Surrey states: "The evidence for the benefits of rose-hip powder in osteoarthritis appears consistent, and, if patients wish to take a natural remedy in addition to any other prescribed treatment, on the basis of this review, I would recommend they try a rosehip supplement." Telegraph, Sept 2009.

As we age, cartilage can become stiff and lose elasticity. This makes the joint prone to damage and may lead to pain, loss of movement, swelling and finally further deterioration. By taking RoseMax™ daily, you can help to decrease joint inflammation, joint pain & as a result, improve mobility.

Arthritis is one of the biggest causes of disability in the UK. The word 'arthritis' means inflammation of the joints and over 200 different kinds of 'arthritis' have been identified. Some forms of arthritis are symptoms of other diseases, such as lupus erythematosus. However, when we talk about arthritis we generally mean the most common forms, such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and gout. These types of arthritis tend to affect the knee, finger and hip joints - these are known as synovial joints because of the synovial fluid found between them.

Causes

Arthritis affects people of all ages, though one of the commonest forms, osteoarthritis usually first affects people aged between 40 and 60 and gets more common with age. Osteoarthritis is due to wear and tear of the joints which is made worse by being overweight. With osteoarthritis the cartilage breaks down in weight-bearing joints such as the hips, knees and the lower back.

Rheumatoid arthritis is an inflammatory type of arthritis which often affects the hands and neck. It usually appears in people between the age of 30 and 50, but children or young adults can also be affected. This form of arthritis tends to be inherited and is caused by the body's defence mechanism reacting abnormally to the lining of the joint capsule.

Gout is caused by crystal formation in the joints and may be inherited or triggered by certain medicines, alcohol and some foods.

Symptoms

Common symptoms of arthritis include discomfort, aches and pains, swelling and inflammation, stiffness and fatigue. The symptoms can vary greatly from one form to another and can be short-lived or long-term. For example, with osteoarthritis the pain and discomfort tends to be restricted to the affected joint area, while rheumatoid arthritis causes more general aches, pains and fatigue. Also, with osteoarthritis the pain and loss of movement tend to get worse during the day as the joints are used more. In rheumatoid arthritis the pain is usually worse in the morning and often eases during the day. People with arthritis may develop disabilities such as loss of strength and grip, while long-standing and severe arthritis can eventually lead to deformity of the joint and permanent loss of movement.

Treatment

Your doctor will use a combination of medicines, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and other support services to help manage your arthritis. Osteoarthritis is generally manageable with simple measures such as weight loss and pain relief. Rheumatoid arthritis is sometimes treated with medicines that suppress the immune system.

RoseMax™ is powerful & highly absorbent antioxidant containing 100% natural active ingredients equivalent to 7500mg of Rosehip. Rosehip is one of the newest super-fruit extracts taking the world by storm. A fruit so rich in antioxidants, it may actually help to improve joint pain.

Useful Tips
