Otrivine Antistin Eye Drops are a dual-action ophthalmic solution formulated to relieve symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic conjunctivitis. This product combines the antihistamine Antazoline sulphate with the decongestant Xylometazoline hydrochloride, working together to reduce eye redness, swelling, and irritation caused by allergens. Please note: Not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Do not use for more than seven consecutive days without medical advice.
Key Features:
Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients or have a condition called narrow angle glaucoma.
Remove contact lenses before use and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting.
Do not use if you have recently taken a certain type of anti-depressant drug.
Consult with a healthcare professional if you have high blood pressure, a heart condition, thyroid problem, diabetes or dry eyes.
Side Effects to consider when using Otrivine Antisin Eye Drops:
Unwanted side effects such as a stinging sensation on insertion of the drops can occur in some people. Very occasionally other effects such as blurred vision, headache, drowsiness and increased redness of the eye have been reported. In certain sensitive individuals systemic effects may occur and can include irregular heart beat, headache, paleness and sweating.
Thoroughly wash your hands.
Remove the cap and hold the bottle between your thumb and forefinger
Tilt your head backwards.
Rest one hand on your cheek and gently pull down your lower eyelid to form a small pocket.
Look upward.
Squeeze the bottle gently to release one or two drops into the eye.
Close your eye for a short time to allow the drops to spread.
Repeat for the other eye if needed.
Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
The two active ingredients in Otrivine Antistin Eye Drops 10ml are Xylometazoline hydrochloride (0.05% w/v / 0.5mg/ml) and Antazoline sulphate (0.5% w/v / 5mg/ml).
The other ingredients are Benzalkonium chloride, Boric acid, Disodium edetate, Sodium tetraborate, and Water for injections.
