A clear, pale yellow solution. Each ml contains Sulphadimidine 308.9 mg as sulphadimidine sodium B.P., 1.0 mg chlorocresol Ph.Eur. As antimicrobial preservative and 1.0 mg sodium formaldehyde sulphoxylate, USNF, as antioxidant.

Sulphadimidine has been shown to be effective in vitro against the following bacterial species:
Bordetella bronchiseptica, Escherichia coli, Pasteurella haemolytica, Salmonella dublin, Salmonella typhimurium and Actinobacillus lignieresi.
Specific indications for Intradine include: enteritis caused by Escherichia coli, Salmonella dublin and Salmonella typhimurium; salmonellosis and septicaemia caused by Salmonella dublin and Salmonella typhimurium; pasteurellosis and infections of the respiratory tract caused by Pasteurella haemolytica; atrophic rhinitis caused by Bordetella bronchiseptica and Pasteurella haemolytica; and wooden tongue caused by Actinobacillus lignieresi. Intradine has also been shown to be effective in the treatment of coccidiosis and foul in the foot
