Hills Prescription Diet R/D is used in weight management programs. Weight gain is the result of an increase in body fat. This is usually caused by eating too much, especially when combined with a lack of exercise. But there can be other contributing factors for example, older pets are usually less active so need fewer calories. Also, Neutering or spaying your pet increases their chances of putting on weight as the aftermath of the procedure alters the metabolism of pets.

Eating too much food will cause your pet to become overweight, and this increases the risk of conditions such as arthritis, diabetes, heart disease and breathing problems.

Hills Prescription Diet R/D is a complete food that's low in calories but high in dietary fibre to ensure your pet feels satisfied. Rich in L-carnitine to help burn fat and increase muscle during weight loss, and antioxidants to maintain a strong immune system, this helps pets lose weight safely and effectively.

For orders under £40 in value we charge £3.49 for UK delivery. This is the total cost of delivery and packaging, regardless of how many items you order. We use a combination of couriers and services depending on location, contents and the weight of your order, this is due to the dangerous goods act introduced in January 2013 by the Civil Aviation Authority. We know service is important to you so have chosen our partners carefully and include both signed for and standard deliveries from Parcel Force, Hermes and Royal Mail, details will be included in the despatch conformation you receive. The vast majority of orders (over 98%) are despatched either on the same working day or the following working day (Mon-Sat including Bank Holidays). A signature may be required on receipt for heavy orders. For orders that weigh 25kgs or more (and for every subsequent 25kgs) there is an additional handling charge of £3.49 per 25kg. Hills Canine R/D does exactly what it says on the tin - my boxer Ellie needs to lose some weight and she eats every bit - she loves it and she`s losing weight - so cant be bad! Will definitely buy it again..

My dog has been on this for years, its great for controlling his weight and that helps with his other medical issues. He`s been on it for 5 years but is always excited to get his food, my neighbor`s dog even prefers it to her own food, she`s really fussy but seem to love it..
