All the animal protein comes from animals that are passed fit for human consumption. The philosophy of Eukanuba is to use animal based proteins from sources such as chicken, egg, lamb, and fish to feed dogs as carnivores. This means we do not use vegetable or cereal based proteins as a primary protein source. One example of our commitment is that all the animal protein comes from animals that are passed fit for human consumption. Eukanuba can trace our ingredients back to their origin. Eukanuba now systematically trace our ingredients back to their origin and our main ingredients - protein, cereal and fat, come from Europe, New Zealand and the United States.

By working closely with their suppliers, and through their strict requirements, we know where our animal based proteins come from, and where our healthy fibre is grown and harvested. Eukanuba run rigorous testing at every step of production.

Before you even open a bag of Eukanuba there have been more than 150 quality tests run on the food inside.

It starts with testing at the suppliers prior to shipment and continues when we inspect every single delivery of ingredients at Eukanuba plant. If it does not meet Eukanuba standards then the delivery is turned away and rejected. Then all of the manufacturing process is closely monitored during food production and finally when the food is packed and sealed in the bag.

Every consignment of food produced is tested to make sure it is meeting our required standards. And, Eukanuba even retain samples from each consignment just in case we need to re-test them at any time in the future.

But it doesn't stop here, a final inspection of the bags when they are loaded and shipped also takes place. Every single one of the 150 quality assurance tests run are to make sure that when you open the bag and fill your dog's bowl that you can have confidence in feeding Eukanuba.
But it doesn't stop there! Eukanuba also have a range of specially developed cat food. 
Cats are carnivores and should be fed accordingly. That’s why we use only high-quality animal proteins, mainly chicken or lamb – not vegetables – as the principal source of protein in Eukanuba cat food.
But our philosophy of nutritional science doesn’t end there. All our cat formulas contain the Prebiotic FOS. Its job is to nourish the good bacteria in the digestive tract, thereby crowding out the bad bacteria. This improves your cat’s defenses and helps bring out her best from the inside out.
