Chloe Narcisse for Women was created by Karl Lagerfeld in 1992 for the design house of Chloe. Narcisse by Chloe is classified as a sweet, intense perfume blending apricot, marigold, rose otto, narcissus, tolu balsam and pure soothing vanilla oil. Rose ottos is another word for 'rose oil' used in perfumery since the dawn of history. The Egyptians refer to the rose's medicinal and aphrodisiac powers. The greek poetess Sappho calls the rose 'The Queen of flowers' and the romans even stuffed mattresses with them! But it was the canny Arabs who, claiming that the rose was created from a drop of sweat falling from Mohammed's brow, learned how to distil rosewater commercially. Narcisse is recommended for evening wear.
