when we came back from holiday we discovered we had fleas - and lots. treated the cats with frontline always - but seems to have lost its effectiveness - changed products then set to work sorting the house. did a flea bomb in each bedroom, and then never saw any more fleas. it was few days before doing the two downstairs rooms (due to stock in local shop) did those two rooms, and now, five weeks since original infestation we are finding very few fleas (but still a few) also using home sprays round the edges mainly, and was combing the cats (even bathed one of them - he`s a gentle placid boy) You have got to thoroughly vacuum every day. also if you have a big freezer, which we have you can freeze loose rugs and cushions for 24 hours, if you place them in a sealed plastic bag - that should kill the fleas too. These products work well, but you got to do all the other stuff, there is no quick fix. plenty of time, sweat and hard work I`m afraid, but definately recommend these bombs. am about to do them again just to finish it off, most products will not kill the pupae stage (think of caterpillars in a cocoon) so you need them to hatch to be able to kill them - vibration and humidity help this stage - so vacuuming helps this also. I also keep a bowl of soapy water in the rooms, so if you get a flea on you, nip hold of it, put your fingers under the water and then let go, it will drown. The water has to have a bit of washing up liquid in it, or the flea can float, and not die. Hope this helps It is a nightmare and wish you all good luck
