Benylin Dry Coughs Non-Drowsy contains an ingredient called dextromethorpan which is a cough suppressant, and can calm a dry unproductive cough. Ideal for a cough that is not producing plegm, Benylin Dry Cough works to halt the annoying symptoms of the cough and allows you to carry on as normal. The non-drowsy formula ensures no unwanted side-effects.
How to take Benylin Dry Coughs Non-Drowsy:
- For oral use only
- Adults and children over 12 years: Take two 5ml spoonfuls up to four times a day.
- Children aged 6 to 12 years old: Take one 5ml spoonful up to four times a day.
- Children under 6: not recommended.
- Do not use more than 4 doses in 24 hours.
Warnings relating toBenylin Dry Coughs Non-Drowsy:
Do not use the medicine if
You are giving it to/you are a child under 12 years of age.
You have chronic bronchitis.
You have a condition called bronchiectasis, in which there is a persistent widening of the airways as a result of lung disease, eg: infection, inflammation, tumours or cystic fibrosis.
You have taken a monoamine-oxidase inhibitor anti-depressant (MAOI) in the last 14 days.
You should carefully read all product packaging and labels prior to use

Each 5ml of cough medicine contains: Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide 7.5mg.
Side effects of Benylin Dry Coughs Non-Drowsy:
Side effects are not common with Dextromethorphan, when they do occur they are usually mild. Side effects could range from:
Occasional dizziness
Upset stomach
Nausea or vomiting
